Improvement of Contact-Less KID Design Using Multilayered Al/Ti Material for Resonator

The necessity to increase exposure in rare event search experiments by maintaining a low energy threshold and good resolution leads segmented detectors as EDELWEISS (Dark Matter), CUORE (0 $$\nu \beta \beta$$ ) or Ricochet (CENNS) for example. However, the large number of sub-elements can dramatically complexity such detector arrays. In this work we report on our progress towards designing flexible technology based Kinetic Inductance Detector (KID) resonators evaporated massive target crystals readout contact-less feedline. Providing that achieve $$\mathcal {O}(100)$$ eV threshold, approach could easily be scaled tens kilogram arrays thanks intrinsic multiplexing capability KIDs. Using 30 g silicon absorber with Al/Ti multi layers KID resonator, significant improvement response exhibiting keV-scale combined absence position dependence location. Indeed, compared previous work, are now able properly identify calibration lines from surface (20 keV X-rays) bulk events (60 gamma rays). This is an important step better understanding phonons quasiparticles dynamics, which pivotal optimizing technology.
